Here are the themes for this half term through to the summer break folks.
Week 1- prey and predators
This week we delved into the lives of the creatures that live on our farms and in our woodlands. From foxes and deer to barn owls and mice every creature has a part to play. We were also lucky enough to a a visit from some birds of prey!
Week 2 (11th-13th June)
Festival week!
It’s time to celebrate on the farm! We will be getting creative designing our own wrist bands and accessories, building a hay bale stage ready to listen to our most loved songs whilst cooling down with some home made lemonade!
Week 3 (18th-20th June)
Construction Week!
This week we will be challenging ourselves with some model activities including bridge building, designing a marble run using recycled cardboard, STEM challenge using spaghetti and marshmallow’s and much more fun!
Week 4 (25th-27th June)
Seasonal Summer bake off!
It’s time for a bake off! This week we’ll be making our own scones using local produce and other delicious bakes! Let’s design our own chefs hats before we start!
Week 5 (2nd-4th July)
Farm Fashion Week!
This week we’ll be getting creative designing our own outfits using unwanted clothes. Let’s make sure we include the guinea pigs by creating them new outfits ready for a cat walk!
Week 6 (9th-11th July)
Collaboration & co-operation week!
Use your best team building skills to work with friends both human and four legged, try the paper stepping stone challenge with a friend. Train the pups to fetch, sit and jump, learn to read horse body language and feed the hens to see if they’ll lay you a yummy egg for a baking treat!
Week 7 (16th-18th July)
Summer Solstice History Week
What is a henge? Why was stone henge built and how! Why do we celebrate the longest day of the year and summer time! We will be celebrating the last day of home Ed before the summer break with a bonfire and marshmallow toasting!
